Point
When you master all Hiragana sounds, you will be able to pronounce every words in Japanese.
Lessons in Survival Japanese include Roma-ji (alphabet) notation, so you can continue without Hiragana, but we strongly recommend you master reading and pronunciation of Hiragana.
Repeat this practice until each sound comes out naturally without looking at Roma-ji notations.
